Central Coast: Home

The Central Coast offers an abundance of attractions and activities for families; from swimming to shopping, golf to gardens, hiking to horse riding, the Central Coast will delight you with a range of memorable experiences. If its art you like, then there are many galleries to visit and shopping is a breeze with three major centres as well as many smaller boutique style outlets across the region.
It is an area of natural beauty famous for its scenic beaches and breathtaking views. There are hidden treasures dotted along the coastline with landmarks such as the Skillion Headland Crackneck Lookout, and Norah Head Lighthouse, unspoiled beaches, rugged cliff faces, rock platforms and secluded bays to be found around every corner.

What's On

diary-web'What's On' on the Central Coast of NSW

Break yourself away from the winter blues – come enjoy yourself on the Central Coast this August!

The Australian Reptile Park has just welcomed two purebred Dingo pups! They won’t stay young for long, so there’s no better time to take a day out of your busy schedule to visit the Australian Reptile Park.

The World Cup may have just finished but the A-League season starts this month.  Catch your local team, the Central Coast Mariners in their first home game for the season on Sunday 15th at 3pm at Bluetongue Central Coast Stadium in Gosford. Tickets are available through Ticketek www.ticketek.com.au or can be bought at the venue on the night.

Celebrate the rich Scottish culture this month with the 14th Annual Gathering of the Clans, to take place at Harry Moore Oval Toukley.  Celebrations kick off on Friday 26th with the “Premier Highland Dance Competition” at Club Toukley RSL.  On Saturday, the 28th of August, enjoy the “Parade of the Tartans” through Toukley CBD at 10:30am, followed by many exciting Celtic activities. Watch mass pipe band displays, enjoy highland dancing performances, highland games, sample traditional Scottish cuisine and trace your own Scottish heritage with the Clans.  Finally on Sunday 29th, enjoy the Kirkin of the Tartan Service from 9:30am at the Toukley Presbyterian Church.

More ideas to beat the winter blues can be found at www.visitcentralcoast.com.au, or call the friendly team at Central Coast Tourism on 4343 4444 for suggestions and advice on what you can do this month!
